In order to link the name of the European sections of the Fourth International to the traditions of the International Left Opposition and of the Internationalist Communist League, which preceded the founding of the Fourth International; in order to underline the essentially internationalist character of our policy as against the chauvinist degeneration of the parties of the former Third International; and in order to standardize the designation of all the European sections of the Fourth International, the Conference decides that all sections of the Fourth International in Europe shall henceforth bear the title of Internationalist Communist Party (or group) (section — name of country — of the Fourth International).
